Pelion is a mountain in the Prefecture of Magnesia next to the city of Volos, at an altitude of 1,624 meters (peak of the Purian Cross). According to Greek mythology, it was the summer residence of the gods and the home of the Centaurs. The main town of Pelion is located over Volos at 14km, Portaria with a long and rich history. Pelion has 40 villages with a rich history.
